Jun 8, 2026 at 10:02 AMOpenSky World, a GSSA from Bologna, Italy, has been appointed as the Cargo Sales Agent (CSA) for SolitAir in Italy. This collaboration aims to expand the market presence of the young cargo airline from Dubai, UAE, in Europe. The appointment follows the accreditation of SolitAir as ACC3 by the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority, allowing the company to operate secure cargo and mail services directly into the European Union.
Rossano De Luca (2nd from left), CEO of OpenSky World, commented on the partnership:
“We are proud to support SolitAir as its Cargo Sales Agent in Italy. With our deep commercial roots, particularly in Europe, we are able to connect the Global North and the Global South. This collaboration creates significant opportunities for the development of new cargo routes and trade lanes, enhancing connectivity between Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.”
The partnership brings new capacities and flexibility for European logistics providers, especially at a time when reliance on air freight continues due to geopolitical uncertainties and global supply chain adjustments. Hamdi Osman (2nd from right), founder and CEO of SolitAir, emphasized:
“This partnership represents not only an operational collaboration but also a long-term strategic alliance aimed at unlocking new business opportunities in the global air freight sector.”
SolitAir, which commenced operations from its hub at Dubai World Central (DWC) in October 2024, is an airline specialized in B2B cargo transport, enabling fast and reliable transportation of goods between major global trade centers. In less than two years, the network has expanded to over 50 routes in more than 30 countries, connecting Dubai directly with significant markets in the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, China, and now Europe. The airline currently operates a fleet of seven Boeing 737-800 BCF freighters, with the goal of expanding the fleet to 14 aircraft by the end of 2026.
