Jun 8, 2026 at 7:28 AMHellmann Worldwide Logistics has begun construction of a new specialized logistics center for the automotive industry in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) in Dubai. This project is part of the company’s long-term growth strategy aimed at strengthening core industries and expanding global network capabilities.
The new logistics center is designed to meet the growing operational demands of Hellmann’s existing automotive customers in the region. It will also create scalable capacities for future growth. By investing in dedicated, industry-specific infrastructure, Hellmann enhances its ability to provide resilient logistics solutions tailored to the growing automotive logistics market. This market is expected to expand in the region over the next few years at an annual growth rate of approximately 4 to 6% until 2030. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) plays a strategically important role in this context as a key link between Europe, Asia, and Africa, offering strong multimodal connectivity and infrastructure for global supply chains.
Scope and Facilities of the New Center
The customized facility will be developed by INDU Logistics, a part of the INDU Group, and will function as a specialized automotive center within Hellmann’s network in the Middle East. With an area of approximately 28,000 m², the facility is designed to manage the full spectrum of logistics for automotive spare parts. It combines high-density racking storage, pallet racks, and specialized handling areas for oversized and bulky components. The site will provide a scalable infrastructure to support efficient and high-volume distribution to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Africa, and selected international markets.
Lee I’Ons, Regional CEO IMEA of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, commented on the project: “The UAE is a strategically important market within our global network. By establishing this specialized automotive center in Jafza, we are systematically expanding our regional capabilities and creating additional scalable, industry-specific infrastructures. This enables us to offer competitive logistics solutions to our customers and support their long-term growth.”
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Global Chief Operating Officer of Parks and Economic Zones at DP World, added: “Hellmann’s investment in the Jebel Ali Free Zone reflects the rapid growth of the automotive industry in the Middle East, as customers seek faster and more reliable access to critical spare parts across multiple markets. By continuously expanding specialized infrastructures in Dubai, we are helping our partners navigate uncertainties and keep their operations running.”
