CargoAi integrates AI platforms for air freight
Jun 5, 2026 at 11:12 AMThe companies Transfera and Rail Cargo Group have launched a new intermodal rail service between Budapest and Belgrade. This service, which commenced operations in May 2023, offers two regular departures per week and connects the BILK terminal in Budapest with the terminal in Batajnica.
Improvement of freight transport
With the introduction of this train connection, Transfera and Rail Cargo Group aim to reaffirm their commitment to environmentally friendly transport solutions. The intermodal transport is intended to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions compared to conventional road transport, as Transfera states in a press release. Companies thus have the opportunity to actively participate in the development of more environmentally friendly logistics solutions.
According to Transfera, the new service also responds to current challenges in international road transport. These include, among other things, a shortage of personnel, an increasingly complex regulatory framework, and instabilities in the transport market.
