Traoré appointed interim director general in Abidjan
May 21, 2026 at 10:36 AMAs announced in January, Damien Chapotot and François Pinto took on their new roles as STEF Managing Directors for Operations in France and internationally on April 23, 2026. As part of a restructuring of the management, the STEF Group, a European provider of transport, logistics, and temperature-controlled packaging services for food products (2025 revenue: €5.1 billion), has announced five new appointments to its leadership team for France, effective early May.
New leadership positions at STEF
Fabrice Carré (photo) has been appointed Managing Director of the Fresh Products Business Unit. Carré, who joined the company in 1992, has held various leadership positions in France throughout his career, including Regional Director and Managing Director of STEF Portugal and STEF Spain. He succeeds Damien Chapotot. Carré holds a degree from ESC Brest Business School and an MBA from EM Lyon.
Catherine Gagneraud takes over the leadership of the Grocery and Retail (GMS) Business Unit. She has been with the company since 2011 and has held various positions within the GMS Business Unit, including responsibility for performance improvement and operations management. Most recently, she served as Director of Transformation in the GMS Business Unit. She succeeds David Bally, who has been appointed Managing Director of STEF Spain. Gagneraud earned her degree from IMT Mines Alès.
Laurent Garnier will be the new Managing Director of the Frozen Products Business Unit. Garnier began his career at STEF in 1998 and has held various leadership roles in the GMS Business Unit. Most recently, he led the Frozen Products Business Unit in Italy. He succeeds Laurent Malfettes, who has been appointed Deputy Director for CSR of the company. Garnier holds a DESS in Transport and Logistics from the University of Lyon II.
Céline Vidili will be the new Director of Human Resources in France. Vidili has been with the company since 1998 and has worked in various HR positions, including Regional HR Director and Director of Logistics and Transport. In her new role, she will take responsibility for the entire Transport and Logistics department. Vidili holds a degree in Economic and Social Administration with a focus on Human Resources from the University of Metz.
Franck Glasset has been appointed Director of Sales in France. Glasset brings over 20 years of experience from his previous role at the SAVENCIA Group, where he served as Supply Chain Director for France and Benelux, among other positions. He has been active at STEF since 2018 as Director of Studies and Performance. In his new role, he will lead the commercial activities in the transport and logistics sector. Glasset holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IGR-IAE Rennes.
