Leadership change at ERFA: Gladyga takes over Presidency
May 7, 2026 at 6:50 AMLars Wingefors AB has consolidated its aviation-related activities into the newly established W. Aviation AB. The group offers comprehensive solutions in the aviation sector and has an integrated platform for operational services, technical services, and leasing. Daniel Elfstedt (photo) has been appointed as the CEO of the group.
Combination of expertise
The new structure unites various aviation-related activities and consolidates expertise in the areas of airline operations, maintenance, leasing, and ground services. The companies that are part of W. Aviation AB include Fly Sola Air AB, Täby Air Maintenance AB, Empterwik Rental AB, Sola Service AB, and FBO Karlstad. Together, these companies create a platform that covers the entire value chain—from flight operations to technical services such as the conversion of passenger aircraft to freighters (P2F) to aircraft leasing and ground handling.
The combined capabilities enable the group to take on demanding contracts and engage in close collaborations. The combination of aircraft, technical know-how, and operational experience represents a central strength. Potential customers include local companies or regions wishing to operate domestic air traffic in Sweden. Examples of existing customer relationships include Skåneflyg and Saab.
Leadership and perspectives
Elfstedt, who has extensive experience in the aviation industry, has taken on the role of Group CEO. Previously, he served as CEO in the regional aviation sector and has already worked within the Lars Wingefors group. “With W. Aviation, we bring together aircraft, expertise, and operational capabilities in a unified structure. This provides a flexible platform to fulfill various types of contracts, with our end-to-end solution being a clear strength,” explains Elfstedt.
The group employs more than 100 staff, operates twelve aircraft, and generates an estimated annual revenue of approximately 21.5 million EUR, with an expected positive balance before taxes.
