Wärtsilä Receives Order for Ammonia Tankers
Apr 22, 2026 at 1:59 PMKazakhstan, Poland, and the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) aim to further expand their cooperation along the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor. This was agreed upon during a meeting between KTZ chairman Talgat Aldybergenov and the president of the Polish State Railways PKP, Alan Beroud.
The focus is on increasing freight transport as well as exchanging energy-efficient and environment-friendly technologies. Rail connections between the two countries are already experiencing significant growth: in the first quarter of 2026, the transport volume increased 1.5 times to 752,000 t.
Exports from Kazakhstan also rose. Coal deliveries to Poland multiplied, as did chemical and grain exports. At the same time, Kazakhstan’s significance as a transit hub is growing. On the China-Poland route, container traffic increased by 44% to 75,400 teu.
