Her career began in 1999 at Fraport AG, before she took over the leadership of Sales & Marketing at FCS in 2016. In July 2023, she was additionally appointed Global Account Director at WFS.
With Smirr’s transition, Sascha Imparato will become the new Director Sales & Marketing at FCS. In his new role, he will particularly focus on servicing airline and freight forwarding customers.
WFS and SATS: A Strong Network
Founded in 1984, WFS describes itself as the world’s largest air freight logistics service provider and is part of the SATS Group. The company generates annual revenues of €2 billion and offers comprehensive ground handling services. The acquisition by SATS in 2023 has created a network that includes over 225 cargo and ground handling stations in 27 countries, covering trade routes responsible for more than 50% of the global air freight volume.
The changes in the leadership of FCS and WFS reflect the strategic goals of the companies to further expand their global presence and efficiency in the air freight sector.
