Apr 2, 2026 at 8:23 AMThe shipping company OOCL from Hong Kong has announced the launch of a new service between Southeast Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. This new service, referred to as the Southeast Asia – Indian Subcontinent Service (SIS), represents the first dedicated connection for the western coast of India and Pakistan.
The service will commence on April 24, 2026, and aims to provide a direct link between Southeast Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. The goal is to enhance accessibility to both India and Pakistan.
Route Details
The SIS route includes several key port cities. The ships will travel from Laem Chabang via Singapore and Port Klang to Nhava Sheva and Mundra in India, as well as to Karachi in Pakistan, before returning to Port Klang, Singapore, and finally back to Laem Chabang.
With this new service, OOCL is responding to the growing demand for direct connections in this region and aims to offer its customers an improved logistics solution.
