This step is part of a transformation program initiated by Ami Paris in collaboration with the consulting firm Mews Partners. The new location is intended to support the brand’s expansion, which is now represented in over 80 countries.
New Location for Comprehensive Logistics Solutions
The new logistics site covers an area of 12,783 m² and includes a mezzanine designed for single-item picking and hanging storage. The site is designed to manage various distribution streams, including wholesale, retail, e-commerce, and outlet sales. Additionally, the building offers the possibility for expansion. The logistics handling encompasses all product categories from Ami Paris, including clothing, leather goods, accessories, and shoes.
The operational processes are tailored to the requirements of the luxury fashion industry. The site is staffed from Monday to Friday in two shifts and employs 51 workers, who come from both the local area and a nearby ID Logistics location specializing in luxury goods. To enhance operational efficiency, a fully automated picking zone will be established. Furthermore, dedicated packing stations for B2B and B2C transactions, as well as an automatic sorter at the end of the production line, are planned. Comprehensive digital monitoring of the logistics flows is conducted through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Reflex.
Technological Integration and Environmental Standards
The new location utilizes various technologies specifically developed for the luxury fashion sector. This includes the „Pick to Graphic“ system, which displays product images during picking to increase accuracy. Additionally, Cubiscan is employed to precisely dimension items and optimize logistical data. Video tracking at key workstations facilitates the management of disputes and the analysis of processes.
The site meets high environmental standards and has been awarded the BREEAM certificate in the „Excellent“ category. Environmentally friendly measures include complete LED lighting, autonomous rainwater management, photovoltaic systems on the roof, as well as the preservation of green spaces and the reuse of demolition materials. These eco-friendly practices support the responsibility of Ami Paris and ID Logistics in reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency.
Frédéric Grenier, Managing Director of ID Logistics France, emphasizes: „This collaboration brings our teams alongside Ami Paris into a structured logistics system that is aligned with the standards of luxury fashion and designed to support the brand’s growth.“
