Jan 28, 2026 at 2:56 PMXeneta has analyzed the performance of various shipping alliances in its current reliability assessment for the year 2025. The report covers aspects such as on-time arrivals and delays, providing an overview of how the Gemini, Premier, Ocean, and MSC alliances have performed on global trade routes.
Performance Assessment of the Alliances
The annual ranking of the alliances shows that the Gemini Cooperation leads with an on-time arrival rate of 81% and an average delay of only 0.4 days. In comparison, the Non-Alliance achieved on-time arrivals in 34% of cases with a delay of 3.7 days. MSC, which operates outside the Premier Alliance, recorded 27% on-time arrivals and a delay of 4.0 days. Both the Premier Alliance and the OCEAN Alliance scored 26% on-time arrivals, with delays of 4.3 and 4.0 days, respectively.
The analysis highlights that the Gemini Cooperation occupies a prominent position due to strategic decisions, such as reducing port calls and utilizing vertically integrated terminals. These measures, along with a strong focus on the North American market, have favored the daily operations of the alliance.
