Cleaning Robot Manufacturer Kemaro Expands into the USA
Nov 7, 2025 at 1:59 PMThe fourth edition of the international cycling campaign “GWcycles” by Gebrüder Weiss has concluded with a new record: Around 800 participants cycled a total of 1,047,998 kilometers (2024: 768,800 kilometers, 600 participants). This corresponds to over 26 circumnavigations of the globe. Cycling enthusiasts from all over the world not only improved their fitness but also made an important contribution to the protection of the seas.
(Lauterach) Under the motto “Cycling for the Seas,” the logistics company called for as many kilometers as possible to be collected from April to October and announced that for every 100,000 kilometers, one ton of plastic waste would be removed from rivers and coastal areas in Southeast Asia. Thanks to a million total kilometers, ten tons of waste will now be disposed of by the end of the year. Gebrüder Weiss is supported in this effort by its cooperation partner CleanHub, an environmental technology company based in Berlin that establishes functioning waste management in particularly polluted regions.
“Those who cycle make a difference – for themselves and the environment. That’s what our cycling campaign GWcycles stands for,” says Frank Haas, Marketing and Communications Manager at Gebrüder Weiss. “And it shows how much power lies in community. We are proud of our bike community, which fortunately grows year by year and is committed to environmental protection across borders.”
Attractive Prizes for Active Cyclists
To further motivate the cyclists, Gebrüder Weiss also awarded attractive prizes for stage goals this year and maintained a kilometer leaderboard. The leader at the end was Kristian Buljan from Germany with 19,022 kilometers.
