Yusen Logistics Expands Capacity at Alzenau Location

Yusen Logistics (Germany) GmbH is expanding and increasing the capacity at its Bavarian location in Alzenau to approximately 18,500 square meters. As of July 1, 2023, the world’s leading provider of integrated logistics has expanded the existing site by around 9,500 square meters of warehouse and office space. The logistics center in Alzenau is located east of Frankfurt, about 30 minutes away.

(Alzenau) The region represents an important logistics hub, not least due to its proximity to Frankfurt Airport, one of the largest airports in Europe. Yusen Logistics’ other operational branch is located in Cargo City South, directly on the territory of Frankfurt Airport, in its own facility. The air freight gateway in Frankfurt is GDP licensed. The 4,500 m² warehouse in Frankfurt is operated by in-house personnel 24/7, including ULD (Unit Load Device) pallet construction on-site.

By doubling the warehouse and distribution center in Alzenau, Yusen Logistics is responding to the needs of its customers. The expanded facility, which is directly located at the A45 motorway, offers around 15,000 Euro-pallet spaces and a cross-dock area.

Diverse Logistics Services at the Location

At the logistics site in Alzenau, the international 3PL provider offers its customers outsourced pre-production work, including sorting, repacking into production boxes (KLT boxes), other picking tasks, quality inspections and rework, cross-docking, as well as distribution and procurement logistics with its own modern fleet.

The site in Alzenau, with a significantly large storage area equipped with high racks, offers Yusen Logistics and its customers plenty of space with further expansion possibilities. The facility has 20 ramps and 2 ground-level access points. The expansion of the Yusen Logistics location in Alzenau is also intended to contribute to local economic development by creating additional jobs in both the commercial and manufacturing sectors.

Over 160,000 Square Meters of Logistics Space Nationwide

With the expansion in Bavarian Alzenau, Yusen Logistics Germany now has 13 locations nationwide with over 160,000 square meters of warehouse and distribution space. Globally, Yusen Logistics is represented in 47 countries at more than 680 locations with over 2.9 million square meters of warehouse space.
