May 11, 2021 at 4:47 PMThe full-service provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Polska takes over the warehousing for the Namysłów Brewery, which was acquired in 2019 by the Polish beer producer Grupa Żywiec. This significantly expands the business relationship between Hellmann and the brewery group in the field of contract logistics.
(Osnabrueck/ Raszyn/ Namysłów) Since 2015, the logistics provider based in Osnabrück has been operating a warehouse for Grupa Żywiec at its Gdańsk branch. Shortly thereafter, another warehouse followed at the Poznań location. In addition, Hellmann is already active in road transport for the brewery group, which produces at five locations in Poland.
In recent months, Hellmann Contract Logistics, together with Grupa Żywiec, has created the necessary infrastructure to successfully establish the new in-house logistics project of the brewery in Namysłów, allowing the warehouse to officially commence operations in April 2021. As part of the collaboration, Hellmann takes over all in-house logistics services to optimize the flow of goods on the brewery’s premises in Namysłów.
Management of the Entire Supply Chain
The Hellmann employees on-site manage the entire supply chain as well as all logistical processes to make them sustainable and efficient. Thus, the full-service provider is responsible for both loading and unloading as well as for processing orders from the finished goods warehouse, delivering components to the production line at the various brewery locations, and for transport to the distribution warehouse.
