Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has appointed Peter Hüwel as Regional CEO North America effective January 1, 2021. Hüwel succeeds Steen Christensen, who is leaving the company. Hüwel comes from DSV and has many years of leadership experience with logistics service providers in the USA. The focus will particularly be on expanding Healthcare Logistics.
(Osnabrück) Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, a global full-service provider, has successfully recruited Peter Hüwel as the new Regional CEO North America effective January 1, 2021. Mr. Hüwel succeeds Steen Christensen, who is leaving the company by mutual agreement with the board to take on new professional challenges. As Regional CEO North America, Steen Christensen has reoriented the region since May 2017 and has created a strong foundation for further growth.
With Peter Hüwel, Hellmann has gained a recognized logistics expert with 27 years of experience in the forwarding industry. Over the past decades, he has held various leadership positions at Panalpina in America, including as manager of various South American subsidiaries and as Senior Vice President for the Northeast and Midwest of the USA. In his last position as Vice President at DSV, Peter Hüwel was responsible for trade lane development in the Air & Sea sector between North and Latin America.
