The initiative secured a total of four Gold Stevie Awards in four categories, both at the organizational level and as individual awards. This year, the jury received more than 1,500 submissions.

Our goal is to bring even more women into leadership positions, and our initiative ‘Women at DHL Global Forwarding’ serves as an important driver in this regard,” said Tim Scharwath, CEO DHL Global Forwarding, Freight. “Diversity, inclusion, and belonging are core values of our organization. We want to continue to create great workplaces where everyone is welcome.”
DHL Global Forwarding is the first logistics service provider in the world to receive such a high number of awards in a single year. The categories in which DHL Global Forwarding was recognized include ‘Merits for the Promotion and Development of Women’, ‘Female Executive of the Year – Business Services – More than 2,500 Employees’, ‘Event of the Year’, and ‘Merits in Human Resources’.
Eva Mattheeussen, Head of Human Resources at DHL Global Forwarding, Middle East and Africa, and Global Project Leader of ‘Women at DHL Global Forwarding’, received the Gold Stevie Award in the category ‘Female Executive of the Year – Business Services – More than 2,500 Employees’. Eva Mattheeussen stated: “I am very proud of what we have achieved with this project so far. This goes far beyond building a strong community of women. The project also focuses on activating supporters and advocates needed to work together towards building an equitable work environment.”
Gold for ‘Women at DHL Global Forwarding’ in Three Additional Categories
The initiative was also recognized in the categories ‘Merits for the Promotion and Development of Women’ and ‘Merits in Human Resources’. DHL Global Forwarding’s initiative aims to promote a culture of equal opportunity by implementing flexible work models, transparency, and career advancement. For this purpose, a new talent management program as well as mentoring and networking initiatives have been introduced. The ‘Women at DGF Virtual Learning Series’, which took place once a month throughout 2020, was honored as ‘Event of the Year’. The event series was intentionally aimed at all employees and addressed topics such as personal and professional development at DHL Global Forwarding.
