May 26, 2020 at 7:00 AMIn addition to charter flights between Asia and Europe, the logistics service provider DACHSER is organizing further transpacific flights in May to cover the North and South American markets. The route from Shanghai to Los Angeles is newly added.
(Kempten) As capacities in the air freight market remain tight, DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics is offering additional dedicated charter services from Asia to the United States to secure capacity. Just at the end of April, DACHSER completed its 30th charter flight since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Following the first flight on the transpacific route from Hong Kong to Los Angeles in the last week of April, the logistics provider is adding an additional route from Shanghai (PVG) to Los Angeles (LAX) to its charter program throughout May. Through its extensive North American branch network with 14 locations across the USA, DACHSER distributes goods in North America or further to South America. In South America, DACHSER is present with 13 branches.
Continued Demand
“We continue to see demand for air freight services from Asia to the USA, and not just for medical protective equipment,” says Timo Stroh, Head of Global Air Freight at DACHSER. “With our charter flights, we can respond to our customers’ needs and offer them robust and effective solutions. They gain access to premium capacities with reliable transit times, which ultimately benefits their supply chain planning.”
In addition to the transpacific charter services, the logistics provider continues to operate Asia-Europe services.
