Jul 15, 2026 at 3:07 PMA new mobile safety reporting system has been introduced to enable organizations to document incidents, hazards, and near misses in real time. The application, named jobsafe, was developed by the software company jobmate based in Wolverhampton, UK, and allows users to submit reports via a smartphone both online and offline. Each report is automatically timestamped and tagged with geographical coordinates, with reports being synchronized as soon as a network connection is available.
The development of the app aims to reduce delays between the occurrence of incidents and the completion of reporting. With jobsafe, incidents, hazards, and near misses can be captured at the moment they occur, rather than after the event or when staff return to the office or depot.
Managers receive immediate notifications about reported incidents and can use the information for investigations, compliance reporting, and audit purposes. Wendy Dalton, CEO of jobmate, emphasizes:
“The quality of any investigation depends on the quality of the information collected at the outset. Delays in reporting can lead to important details being overlooked or forgotten. jobsafe allows incidents, hazards, and near misses to be captured at the moment they happen, providing managers with accurate, time- and location-stamped information to support investigations and compliance.”
The app is aimed at organizations with mobile or distributed workforces across various sectors, including transport, logistics, construction, engineering, manufacturing, and field services.
To celebrate the launch of jobsafe, jobmate is offering the first 200 organizations that register a six-month free use of the app.
