Jun 30, 2026 at 10:48 AMAD Ports Group and IRH Global Trading Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote collaboration in the field of bunkering services and alternative marine fuels at Khalifa Port. This agreement was announced on June 30, 2026, in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and aims to explore strategic partnerships in several areas, as stated by AD Ports Group.
Focus areas of cooperation
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) encompasses various aspects, including the provision of bunkering services for vessels calling at Khalifa Port. Additionally, the development of alternative fuel solutions such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), biofuels, and methanol is highlighted. Another point of collaboration is the exploration of opportunities related to fuel storage infrastructure as well as terminal facilities and capacities for fuel sampling and testing.
Saif Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Ports Cluster at AD Ports Group, emphasizes the importance of this cooperation in the statement. He explains that collaboration with partners like IRH Global Trading reflects AD Ports Group’s commitment to forming strategic alliances that create long-term value. Al Mazrouei added that this partnership aims to support the development of future-proof infrastructure and services that strengthen the UAE’s position as a global trade and logistics hub.
