A new partnership between Einride and Scan Sverige aims to electrify refrigerated transport in Sweden. This collaboration reflects the growing demand for sustainable and fossil-free transport solutions, particularly in food and retail logistics, as stated by Einride. According to the company, the electrified route will cover approximately 25 percent of Scan Sverige’s refrigerated goods output volume. By transitioning from conventional diesel trucks to electric vehicles, Scan Sverige expects to reduce CO₂e emissions by around 860 tons per year. This aligns with the company’s climate goals.
Integration of technology and infrastructure
Einride offers a solution that includes electric commercial vehicles, the proprietary optimization software „Saga AI,“ and integrated charging infrastructure. This technology is designed to enable efficient operations without compromising delivery accuracy. The vehicles will primarily be charged at Scan Sverige’s depot in Linköping. Additionally, Einride charging stations will be available along the transport route, allowing for intermediate charging of the vehicles. The charging times are planned to coincide with the drivers‘ mandatory rest periods, minimizing downtime and optimizing vehicle utilization.
