Transco expands fleet with electric trucks
May 20, 2026 at 2:23 PMCMA CGM has announced an update to its SAFRAN service, which provides connections between Northern Europe and the East Coast of South America. These changes are intended to enhance operational stability and minimize disruptions to the schedule.
Changes in the rotation schedule
One of the key adjustments by the French shipping company involves the exchange of the port call order between Montevideo and Buenos Aires, the capitals of Uruguay and Argentina. In the future, Montevideo will be the first port of call to increase the efficiency of the service. Additionally, the Brazilian port of Rio Grande will be removed from the rotation due to ongoing operational constraints. The port of Itapoa, also in Brazil, will be newly added to enhance the flexibility of the service.
The new schedules will take effect with the vessel San Raphael Maersk, which is expected in Santos on June 5, 2026. The updated rotation route includes Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Tangier, Santos, Paranagua, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Itapoa, Paranagua, Santos, and Tangier, before the vessel returns to Southampton. London Gateway will be temporarily replaced by Southampton.
These adjustments aim to strengthen planning integrity and improve service consistency for customers.
