May 7, 2026 at 9:58 AMAs of August 1, 2026, Anna Nord Bjercke will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Avinor. In this role, she will be part of the management team of the Norwegian airport operator.
Nord Bjercke brings extensive experience from various companies, including Statkraft, Møller Mobility Group AS, and Norway Seafoods Group AS. She also has many years of relevant experience at Equinor, formerly Statoil. Her academic background includes a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from Linköping University, as well as studies in International Business at the universities in Nantes and Caen in France.
Experience and expectations
Abraham Foss, CEO of Avinor, expressed positive remarks about the appointment of Nord Bjercke. He emphasized that her extensive and relevant experience in large and complex companies will be of great benefit to Avinor. Foss highlighted that it is advantageous that Nord Bjercke has worked in both private and public companies. Her strategic skills and understanding of the interactions between finance, corporate governance, and value creation are crucial for the future development of Avinor.
Nord Bjercke herself stated that she looks forward to further building on the already strong competencies within Avinor. Her focus will be on the topics of people, business, and sustainability. She emphasized the importance of solid financial management and reliable reporting to strengthen the trust of owners and other stakeholders.
With the appointment of Nord Bjercke, Petter Johannessen, who has served as CFO and Director of Strategy and Corporate Governance for over 20 years, will transition to an advisory role within the company.
