Jussi Heinonen has been appointed as the new managing director for the Finnish branch. This initiative aims to better support the complex requirements of project logistics in the Finnish market.
Strategic expansion in Northern Europe
The establishment of TGP Finland is part of the strategic direction of the UK-based logistics company, which focuses on countries with advanced heavy industry, industrial manufacturing, and energy activities. Specialized knowledge in project logistics and disciplined execution are crucial in these areas. TGP Finland will operate within the global TGP network and collaborate closely with regional and global teams to provide integrated project solutions.
CEO Colin Charnock emphasizes: “Finland is home to highly specialized companies in heavy industry and manufacturing with demanding project requirements and tight schedules. The establishment of TGP Finland allows us to support our customers more closely in this environment and combine local knowledge with TGP’s global project experience.”
Experienced leadership team
Jussi Heinonen brings extensive experience in project cargo, oversized, and heavy transport. He has previously held leadership positions in the Finnish project logistics sector, including as managing director and partner at UPF Finland Oy. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Turku.
Heinonen comments on his new role: “I am joining TGP because the company has a clear focus on disciplined planning and execution in complex project environments. My goal is to establish a competent local branch in Finland that directly supports customers while leveraging the expertise and global reach of the network.”
Focus on local support
Andreas Menzel, managing director for Northern Europe at TGP, adds: “Finland is a technically demanding market where local expertise and close coordination are essential. With TGP Finland, we strengthen our ability to support customers on-site while drawing on broader regional and international project experience.”
In the coming months, TGP Finland will focus on supporting customers in heavy industry, energy generation, and industrial manufacturing. A direct local engagement is sought, seamlessly integrated with TGP’s comprehensive project logistics capabilities in Northern Europe and beyond.
