Change in the management of DPD Netherlands
Apr 15, 2026 at 1:47 PMThe Denmark-based NTG Nordic Transport Group has appointed Carsten Trolle as the new CEO of its air and sea freight division. This decision takes effect immediately. Trolle brings over 40 years of industry experience, having most recently served as CEO of Air & Sea at DSV from 2015 to 2024, where he gained extensive knowledge in managing multinational air and sea freight operations.
Strategic realignment
As part of a global strategic review of the air and sea freight division, NTG initiated a comprehensive transformation at the end of 2025. The aim of this realignment is to increase organic growth and profitability. The approach focuses on a return to fundamental aspects to promote the development of the division in the respective markets. This will be achieved through accelerated improvements in operational processes, a refined commercial market entry strategy, and organizational strengthening. Additionally, there will be a stronger focus on developing new business areas in markets where NTG is currently not represented.
Trolle’s appointment is seen as a crucial step in implementing this strategic transformation. Prior to his time at NTG, Trolle was responsible for global air and sea freight operations at DSV. His extensive experience in optimizing operational performance and leading transformation processes is considered valuable as NTG advances the expansion of its air and sea freight division.
Mathias Jensen-Vinstrup, CEO of the NTG Group, commented on Trolle: “The appointment of Carsten as CEO of our air and sea freight division is a pivotal moment in our strategy to transfer NTG’s success in road and logistics to the global air and sea freight market. This underscores our unique operating model, which is based on entrepreneurial philosophy, responsibility, and operational freedom, complemented by scalable processes and digital infrastructure.”
Carsten Trolle himself stated regarding his new position: “I am excited to join NTG and lead the further development of the air and sea freight division. NTG’s flat organizational structure and commitment to strengthening the commercial and operational teams, while maintaining a focus on customers and employees, make NTG an ideal environment. I look forward to the future.”
Trolle assumed his new position on April 1, 2026, and is based in the USA. He will be part of NTG’s management team, which since that date consists of the following members: Mathias Jensen-Vinstrup (Group CEO), Tinneke Torpe (Group CFO), Jesper E. Petersen (CEO of Road & Logistics), Carsten Trolle (CEO of Air & Ocean), and Daniel Leegaard Hede (Group CIO).
