Wylie’s promotion reflects his commitment and extensive expertise, which he has demonstrated both within his team and throughout the organization.
Wylie began his career at deugro in January 2023 as Head of Global Strategic Projects and Accounts in Dubai. He holds a Master of Business Administration as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Technology. With over 13 years of professional experience in project forwarding and heavy transport, he has worked at both operational and management levels for companies such as ALE Heavylift and Mammoet.
Focus on Complex Projects
In his new role, Wylie emphasizes the importance of careful preparation and interface management to meet the demands of complex projects. „Success depends on how well we translate engineering and planning into practical execution – with the right partners from the very beginning,“ Wylie explained.
He highlights that leadership at this level involves not only setting a direction but also supporting teams and fostering collaboration. „It is crucial that the right expertise is brought in at the right time and in the right place. Maintaining this responsibility at the management level ensures that we stay ahead of market demands and evolve together with our clients,“ Wylie added.
Thomas Wylie’s appointment comes at a time when deugro is focusing on taking on complex projects and adapting to the increasing technical requirements of its clients.
