The 16th edition titled „Aufbruch im Umbruch: Zukunftsfähig durch digitale, nachhaltige und resiliente Wertschöpfungsketten“ spans 68 pages and highlights key issues in the economic sector.
Trends in Logistics
According to the study, cybersecurity and the digitalization of business processes are currently the most important trends in logistics and supply chain management. These topics have not changed compared to the previous study from 2023. However, cost pressure has gained significance and now ranks third. The topics of automation and business analytics have also increased in relevance, with automation newly ranking at 4 and business analytics at 5. Artificial intelligence has also improved, now standing at 12, which corresponds to an increase of seven places.
In contrast, some topics have lost significance. The shortage of personnel has fallen to 15, representing a decline of twelve places. Additionally, the topics of sustainability and new work have, according to the study, lost relevance and now occupy the 16th and 20th places.
