HGT acquires Florida International Terminal
Jan 12, 2026 at 10:36 AMAdriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) has recently received two new hybrid rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTG) that expand operational capabilities at the Port of Rijeka. The new cranes arrived at the end of December, shortly after the terminal received two new super post-Panamax crane systems. These acquisitions are part of a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade.
Expansion of Operations
The hybrid RTGs are intended to improve operations in the container yard while supporting AGCT’s sustainability goals. The use of this technology reduces fuel consumption and lowers emissions. This is a step towards more environmentally friendly operations that meet the growing demands of the market.
The investments in the new cranes underscore AGCT’s commitment to expanding capacity and the reliability of services. This is particularly important to meet rising demand and to solidify Rijeka’s position as a strategic gateway in the region. The arrival of the hybrid RTGs was accompanied by the Zhen Hua 35, which was responsible for transporting the cranes.
