Modernization of Signal Technology on the Island
Jan 7, 2026 at 11:31 AMCrowley has announced a strategic realignment of its corporate structure to enhance efficiency and provide greater value to customers. As part of this restructuring, two main divisions will be created: the Shipping and Logistics Division, led by James C. Fowler (left), and the Energy Division, under the leadership of Kollin Fencil (right). These changes are intended to increase the company’s agility and improve operational execution to accelerate growth in the shipping, logistics, and energy sectors.
Realignment for Efficiency Enhancement
According to Megan Davidson, Chief Operating Officer of Crowley, the realignment will sharpen the company’s capabilities to achieve outstanding results in collaboration with customers. „James and Kollin are experienced leaders who understand our customers, our employees, and the operations, and know how to deliver results,“ Davidson stated. By consolidating the corporate structure, faster decisions will be made, and agility will be increased to better meet customer needs.
The Shipping and Logistics Division, led by Fowler, combines Crowley’s logistics, land transportation, and global ship management businesses. This division serves both commercial and government customers in maritime shipping, inland transportation, and multimodal transport, as well as warehousing and other supply chain solutions. Fowler emphasized that the new structure will ensure that the entire transportation value chain for customers is managed by a single, cohesive team.
Focus on Energy and Innovation
The Energy Division, led by Fencil, now includes Crowley Fuels in Alaska, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and advanced energy solutions, as well as tank storage operations, engineering services, and tug and offshore barge businesses. This division consolidates Crowley’s activities that support transportation and logistics in the energy sector, offering customers corresponding solutions. Fencil stated that energy is a growth engine for Crowley, and the new structure will enable the company to scale faster and innovate in both traditional and emerging energy markets.
Fowler and Fencil report directly to Davidson. Both executives have previously achieved significant improvements in their respective business areas and will now take responsibility for the new divisions to further drive Crowley’s growth.
