Sallaum Lines hands over “MV Ocean Explorer”
Jan 7, 2026 at 9:14 AMDreier AG has made a significant step in its electric offensive with the commissioning of its electric trucks numbered 48, 49, and 50: The fleet has already covered 5 million kilometers driven electrically. By spring 2026, Dreier AG plans to increase the number of its electric trucks to 75. According to the company, the expansion of the charging infrastructure is proceeding as planned.
Sustainable Transformation of the Transport Fleet
Dreier AG, a family-owned company based in Suhr, aims to sustainably transform its transport fleet. The electric offensive, announced in October 2023, is already showing initial successes. The new generation of electric trucks achieves a range of 500 kilometers on a full charge. With the recent commissioning, the company now has a total of 50 electric trucks in daily operation.
Challenges in Expanding Charging Infrastructure
The next goal is to increase to 100 electric trucks. One of the biggest challenges is the expansion of the charging infrastructure and ensuring a sufficient and sustainable energy supply. To achieve these goals, Dreier AG is working on various projects that combine the establishment of large-scale energy storage systems and transformer stations with extensive photovoltaic systems. Hans-Peter Dreier, CEO of Dreier AG, emphasizes: „Only by successfully connecting all three components – solar energy, our own transformer stations, and efficient energy storage – can we further expand our electric fleet. We are confident that we will achieve additional milestones in 2026 and 2027.“
