Feb 1, 2021 at 4:57 PMAs of today, Karin Rådström has taken over the leadership of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and, through this role, is also a member of the Board of Daimler Truck AG. Rådström comes from competitor Scania, where she served as a board member responsible for sales and marketing.
(Stuttgart) Karin Rådström has today commenced her role as a board member of Daimler Truck AG, responsible for Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Rådström was most recently at Scania, where she was responsible as a board member for sales and marketing.

She has a broad international experience in the commercial vehicle industry and significant successes in building a customer-oriented sales organization and the associated brand presence,” says Martin Daum, Chairman of the Board of Daimler Truck AG and member of the Board of Daimler AG.
Various Executive Positions
The Swedish native Rådström began her career in 2004 as a trainee at Scania after completing her Master of Engineering in Industrial Management at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Since 2007, she has held various executive positions within Scania’s sales and service organization, including leading the company’s bus business and developing the business with digital and connected vehicles.
Rådström succeeds Stefan Buchner, who retired in October 2020.
