Glasgow Prestwick reports profits for seven consecutive years
Jul 13, 2026 at 12:11 PMLhyfe has received the delivery of ten new containers from the manufacturer Hexagon Purus, thereby strengthening its logistics capacities in the field of hydrogen supply in Europe. With a total of 84 Type IV containers, the company now possesses one of the largest and most modern fleets for hydrogen transport in Europe. This fleet supports production sites as well as partner and storage facilities, enabling Lhyfe to conduct over 1,000 deliveries in nine European countries by 2025.
Expansion of production capacities
Since the commissioning of its first hydrogen production site in France in 2021, Lhyfe has continuously expanded its capacities. In addition to the sites in the Pays de la Loire region, two more have been opened in Brittany and Occitanie, as well as one site in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. These four sites received certification as renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) in 2025. Currently, Lhyfe has an installed capacity of 21 MW, which is set to increase by 70% by 2026 to ensure broader geographical coverage and better proximity to customers.
According to Lhyfe, the new containers are the most advanced on the market. They are lighter, more resilient, and meet the requirements of RFNBO certification. These containers allow for the transport of more hydrogen per trip. Lhyfe now operates four container sizes and two compression levels to meet the diverse needs of its customers.
Optimization of logistics and partnerships
To enhance delivery efficiency, Lhyfe has secured 15 storage locations across Europe. Additionally, partnerships have been established with four specialized transport service providers for the transportation of hazardous materials. So far, 60 drivers have been trained and certified for the transport and delivery of hydrogen containers. Furthermore, Lhyfe collaborates with local producers to cover regions where there is currently no production capacity.
The company has also developed digital tools to improve efficiency in coordinating hydrogen production and distribution. These include demand forecasting, filling planning, and production monitoring. By optimizing these parameters, Lhyfe strengthens its ability to ensure reliable deliveries.
In 2025, Lhyfe surpassed the milestone of 1,000 deliveries and increased activities in France, Sweden, and Germany. On average, 55 deliveries per month were made to mobility and industrial customers. Partners include BMW Group and Karp Kneip, highlighting the diversity of applications for decarbonized hydrogen.
Since the commissioning of its first site in 2021, Lhyfe has avoided a total of 4 million tons of CO2 emissions through the production of green hydrogen.
