Jul 13, 2026 at 8:05 AMSolitAir has expanded its presence in China by opening a new route to Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (TNA). The Dubai-based airline, specializing in B2B air freight, now connects its hub at Dubai World Central (DWC) with the Chinese city. This expansion follows existing connections to Hong Kong and Urumqi and aims to strengthen trade routes between the UAE, China, and other global markets.
The first flight of the new route transported a VIP cargo, highlighting the strategic importance of the new corridor for customers requiring tailored, secure, and time-sensitive air freight solutions. China plays an increasingly central role in SolitAir’s growth strategy, and the connection to Jinan represents another step toward improving accessibility in the country.
Hamdi Osman, founder and CEO of SolitAir, stated:
“China remains one of the most important growth markets for global trade, and the expansion of our network to Jinan reflects our commitment to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
The opening of the route to Jinan comes shortly after the market entry of SolitAir in Europe with a new connection to Sofia, Bulgaria. Since its operational launch in October 2024, the airline has expanded its network to 57 routes in 34 countries, including a 17-city network in Africa. SolitAir plans to continue adding destinations that connect economically significant and time-sensitive trade routes between Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
SolitAir’s fleet consists of seven Boeing 737-800 BCF freighters, each with a payload capacity of 20 tons. These aircraft are designed for reliability, range, and versatility to transport hazardous goods, pharmaceuticals, perishable items, as well as valuable and oversized cargo. The company aims to expand its fleet to 20 units by 2027 and operates actively from its 20,440 m² cargo center at Dubai World Central (DWC).
