Jul 8, 2026 at 9:00 AMYale Lift Truck Technologies has introduced a new electric forklift model, the ERC2.2-3.5VG2, designed for intensive warehouse operations. The forklift offers load capacities ranging from 2,200 to 3,500 kg and is equipped with pneumatic tires. The new series builds on the existing ERC-VG models and integrates next-generation technologies as well as ergonomic improvements aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
Improved performance and energy efficiency
The ERC-VG2 series features lift and lower speeds that are up to 65% faster compared to competitive models. This allows operators to move more loads and minimize delays in operational processes. Additionally, energy consumption has been reduced by up to 20% compared to the predecessor model, resulting in longer operating times during demanding work cycles. Another feature is the enlarged mast window, which is 34% larger than that of the predecessor model, providing improved forward visibility.
The configurability of the ERC-VG2 series enables customers to select a solution tailored to their specific applications and performance goals. The drivetrain configurations include Intelimatch™, optimized for daily warehouse operations, and Duramatch™, designed for high-throughput environments and multi-shift operations. Customers have the option to choose from various battery options, including lead-acid batteries, thin-plate pure lead batteries, and integrated lithium-ion batteries.
Ergonomics and safety in focus
The design of the forklift enhances operator efficiency, particularly in tight spaces. Clear sightlines and an almost zero turning radius support maneuverability. The operator’s cabin can be equipped with either a suspended or air-suspended seat to minimize shocks and vibrations. Intuitive controls and foldable armrests help prevent fatigue and optimize work performance.
Lauren Grady, Product Manager at Yale Lift Truck Technologies, emphasizes the challenges companies face today: “Supply chains and warehouses operate on tight margins and are under pressure to work as productively as possible with limited personnel resources.” The ERC-VG2 series is intended to help companies keep their total operating costs low while increasing efficiency.
Maintenance friendliness and modern technologies
The new electric forklift is designed to require less maintenance compared to the predecessor model. The fully sealed oil-bath disc brakes require 20% less maintenance over the device’s lifetime. Maintenance tasks are facilitated by easily accessible service panels and tool-free maintenance points, minimizing downtime.
Additionally, the ERC-VG2 comes standard with the wireless Yale Vision telemetry system, which allows for monitoring of the device. The Dynamic Stability System can be added optionally, as well as a camera for pedestrian detection, aimed at increasing driver awareness to prevent accidents.
