Jul 3, 2026 at 12:34 PMARGAN recently handed over two new logistics facilities for the food manufacturer FERRERO in Normandy. This development follows just days after the completion of an „Autom logistics facility“ for DANONE near Tours, as reported by ARGAN. The two logistics facilities are located near Rouen and offer a total area of 54,000 m². The first logistics center, developed by the SPI GROUP, is situated in Cléon, south of Rouen, and encompasses 34,000 m², including 1,400 m² of office space. According to the company, the five warehouses are equipped with temperature-controlled storage rooms that ensure a constant temperature between 14 °C and 18 °C.
The collaboration between ARGAN and the SPI GROUP led to the facility being awarded the „Autonom-Label.“ A notable feature is the photovoltaic system on the roof, which achieves a capacity of 660 kWp and is intended to supply FERRERO with renewable energy for self-consumption. This system is complemented by a battery storage system with a capacity of 200 kWh. Together, these systems generate 530 MWh of renewable energy annually, according to ARGAN, and contribute to a reduction of CO₂ emissions by 28 tons per year. Measures for better landscape integration, optimized rainwater management, and a building design that is 15% more compact would support the attainment of BREEAM certification in the „Excellent“ category.
