Jun 30, 2026 at 8:41 AMThe ECS Group, focused on global GSSA services, will open new offices in Lebanon on July 1, 2026, thereby expanding its presence in the Eastern Mediterranean. The new locations will be at Beirut–Rafic Hariri Airport (BEY) and in the city center of the Lebanese capital. This expansion aims to provide airlines and freight forwarders with comprehensive support in air cargo.
The two new offices will serve a variety of airlines operating both narrow-body and long-haul aircraft. The ECS Group will offer airlines commercial and compliance support to expand their networks in the region. Jean Ceccaldi, CEO of the ECS Group, emphasizes that Lebanon has long been on the company’s expansion agenda. He views the country as an important trade route between Europe and the Middle East and highlights the positive development prospects that have emerged from discussions with existing and potential partners.
According to Ceccaldi, the market has so far lacked a structured GSSA organization with strong digital capabilities. The ECS Group plans to bring these capabilities to Lebanon, focusing on commercial efficiency, compliance standards, and customer orientation. The company intends to invest long-term in Beirut to support Lebanon’s trade flows and economic resilience. This will be achieved by building stable local and international partnerships.
The ECS Group teams in Lebanon will focus on the sales and management of bookings for general cargo and perishable goods. With access to innovative CargoTech software solutions, the company will maximize the use of available cargo capacities and respond quickly to changing market demands. Additionally, reliable services will be offered to freight forwarders that comply with industry standards and regulations.
