Oman Air Cargo launches daily road feeder service between Dubai and Muscat
Oman Air Cargo has launched a new daily Road Feeder Service (RFS) between Muscat, Oman, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This service aims to optimize the transport of cargo between the two countries and particularly facilitate larger and wider shipments, as the company reports.
According to Oman Air Cargo, the daily operation of the RFS will support the increasing trade flows between the UAE and Oman. The new service allows goods to be transported in both directions, which is intended to enhance flexibility and connectivity in the region. The RFS will carry both perishable goods and general cargo and is designed to integrate deliveries that cannot be transported by narrow-body aircraft. This expands trade opportunities and improves logistical connectivity between the two countries.
The introduction of the Road Feeder Service, according to company statements, contributes to strengthening Oman as a regional logistics hub. „This new service creates greater flexibility for cargo traffic between Dubai and Muscat by complementing traditional air freight operations and enabling the transport of a wider range of cargo types,“ said Michael Duggan, head of the cargo department at Oman Air.
