Jun 15, 2026 at 7:24 PMKalmar has received an order for two electric reachstackers from C. Steinweg – Handelsveem B.V. in Rotterdam. This order was recorded in the second quarter of 2026, with delivery planned for the first quarter of 2027.
To maximize the uptime and reliability of the equipment, the order includes a Kalmar Care service contract that provides on-demand support for the machines. This contract offers long-term technical support and maintenance services tailored to the operational needs of the customer. Additionally, the partnership includes a MyKalmar INSIGHT subscription with a Driver Access Premium module, as well as support from Kalmar Genuine Parts. This comprehensive service approach aims to ensure high availability of the equipment and facilitate smooth terminal operations.
The new electric reachstackers from Kalmar will be deployed at multipurpose and breakbulk terminals operated by Steinweg to support daily loading operations and ensure safe and efficient terminal performance. Steinweg currently utilizes a diverse fleet of Kalmar equipment, including Kalmar forklifts and reachstackers.
Dominic Gruszczynski, Manager Mobile Assets at Steinweg, commented on the decision:
“We chose Kalmar because of the high quality of their services and the proven reliability and safety of their products. This decision was strongly influenced by the trust we have built over our four-decade partnership, as well as the active support in transitioning our fleet to electric solutions. The performance of the electric reachstackers has convinced us that Kalmar can fully meet our demanding operational requirements and help us realize our long-term sustainability vision while reducing our ecological footprint. Furthermore, we are already considering the next phase: the electrification of our heavy-duty forklifts with Kalmar.”
Maurice Butin Bik, Sales Manager Benelux at Kalmar, emphasized:
“Our four-decade partnership with Steinweg began in the 1980s when we first supplied heavy diesel forklifts for their port operations. Today, we are proud to support their strategic decision to transition their fleet to electric solutions. This new order reaffirms our commitment to meeting their operational needs with flexible, tailored solutions. We look forward to continuing this journey together and exploring the electrification of additional equipment.”
