Jun 12, 2026 at 11:21 AMAs of September 2026, Fredrik Swartling (right) will take over the position of Administrator at Scania Italy. He succeeds Enrique Enrich, who has led the company since December 2020. This change is seen as a significant step for the continuity and further development of Scania in Italy, especially at a time when the sector is increasingly transforming towards more efficient and service-oriented solutions.
During Enrich’s tenure, Scania strengthened its market position in Italy. This included the expansion of the dealer and workshop network, the broadening of the product range, and the introduction of new technologies. Significant investments were also made in services, digitalization, and customer support, contributing to the continuous growth of the brand.
Enrich commented on his departure: “It has been a great privilege to lead Scania Italy during these years. We have successfully overcome significant challenges and strengthened our organization as well as customer support. I have always believed in the strategic value of service and am pleased to pass the baton to Fredrik, with whom I share this vision. I am convinced that with his extensive international experience and deep understanding of the Italian market, he can lead the company to new, ambitious goals.” Enrich, who joined the Scania Group in 1997, will take on a new, significant role within the organization.
Swartling brings extensive experience within the Scania Group. He studied Electronic Engineering at Linköping University in Sweden and began his career at Scania over 20 years ago. During this time, he has held various positions in research and development, particularly in software and Euro VI aftertreatment system development. Since 2016, he has been working in Italy, where he has increasingly taken on responsibilities in the services sector. Swartling has significantly contributed to the development of Scania Italy’s offerings and strengthened the relationship between customers and the service network. In recent years, he has led numerous strategic projects in service innovation, including Scania Fleet Care, On-Site, and Services 360, which help customers manage their businesses more efficiently and optimally.
Swartling commented on his appointment:
“I am very proud of this nomination, which is undoubtedly a sign of trust and recognition, not only for me but also for the work of the Scania team in a dynamic and strategic market like Italy. My goal is to leverage the potential of a rapidly evolving technological and digital network to contribute to the success of our customers in goods and passenger transport as well as in industrial and maritime applications with sustainable product and service solutions.”
