Maersk remains cautious in Hormuz
Apr 8, 2026 at 10:11 AMThe companies Circle and Setramar have launched a joint project to digitalise processes in terminal operations and logistics. The aim is to modernise both IT and operational systems, as well as to introduce digital solutions for transport documents.
The focus is on analysing existing processes and systems, particularly terminal-operating and transport-management systems. This is intended to improve the efficiency, safety, and speed of information flows. A central component is the electronic processing of documents such as e-CMR and e-DDT in accordance with European regulations.
The Circle Group supports the Setramar Group as a technology and consulting partner in process optimisation and the introduction of digital tools. The project is part of a broader initiative to promote digitalisation and interoperability along the supply chain.
The collaborative effort is taking place in the port of Ravenna, an important logistics hub in the Adriatic region. Both companies aim to improve network processes and further develop the performance and sustainability of terminal and logistics processes.
