Ship recycling industry facing challenges
Mar 30, 2026 at 1:01 PMLinsan, a wholesaler of food products, has expanded its presence in the Czech market and chosen Prologis Park Prague-Chrášťany as its new logistics location. The company will occupy the entire latest building in the park, covering an area of 5,437 m², including 333 m² of office space.
Martin Čihák, Leasing and Customer Experience Manager at Prologis, expressed his satisfaction with the swift contract signing: “The contract was signed in record time – within a week of the first viewing. This speed confirms the high demand for quality logistics spaces in prime locations as well as our ability to respond quickly to customer needs.” He added that the new facility will support Linsan’s further growth.
Linsan plans to use the new premises primarily for supplying its extensive network of grocery stores throughout the Czech Republic. The modern warehouse facilities are expected to enable the company to further develop its distribution activities and improve customer service efficiency.
Quach Hoang Thai, Managing Director of Linsan, emphasized the dynamic development of the company since its founding in 2013: “We have experienced continuous growth and steadily expanded our customer base. The new logistics center near Prague will allow us to increase capacity, optimize operations, and create a solid foundation for further development.”
Automation as Part of Strategic Development
The building will be equipped with advanced automation technologies provided through the Prologis Essentials platform. This platform supports customers in optimizing their logistics operations through turnkey solutions such as LED lighting, shelving systems, conveyor technology, charging stations for electric vehicles, and potential on-site solar power generation.
Technologies include an automated pallet movement system within the shelving systems (UPC Shuttle System) as well as technologies that enable efficient pallet handling with minimal manual intervention (EPS – Electric Pallet Shuttle). These systems are designed to maximize space utilization in the warehouse, increase the speed and accuracy of goods handling, and support long-term operational efficiency.
Sustainability at the Core of the Building
The building in Prologis Park Prague-Chrášťany has been designed in line with Prologis’s long-term commitment to sustainability. It is equipped with heat pumps that heat both the warehouse and office spaces without the use of natural gas, as well as modern LED lighting with smart sensors.
The roof is prepared for the installation of photovoltaic systems, and the building utilizes an intelligent measurement system that allows for continuous monitoring and optimization of energy consumption. The facility was developed using BIM (Building Information Modeling) and has received BREEAM certification. These features support a responsible operational approach and contribute to long-term ecological efficiency.
