Mar 26, 2026 at 9:14 AMThe increasing demand for production space in urban areas is forcing companies to rethink their logistics strategies, as recently reported by Gilgen Logistics, a provider of intralogistics systems based in Switzerland. The company recently showcased solutions at LogiMAT 2026 on how businesses can operate more efficiently through vertical conveyor technology.
Vertical conveyor solutions
At LogiMAT 2026 in Hall 1, Stand 05, Gilgen Logistics presents two systems for vertical container conveyor technology. The small goods lift allows for the transportation of containers, packages, and small goods between different levels. With a modular design, the system can be customized according to customer requirements and lifts loads of up to 50 kg to heights of up to 40 m. The lift can be installed both freestanding and in a shaft, meeting the applicable fire protection requirements.
Another system is the circulating conveyor, also known as a Paternoster. According to the company, this solution offers container flow and high throughput at heights of up to 80 m. The loading and unloading of the transport containers is done automatically.
