JD.com presents European brand strategy
Mar 23, 2026 at 11:43 AMMenzies Aviation has appointed Mark Busalacchi as the new Director of Sales Americas. This decision aims to further strengthen the company’s commercial activities in the region as Menzies expands its presence and service offerings. Busalacchi will be responsible for all commercial activities in ground handling, cargo, passengers with reduced mobility, and aviation security services in the Americas.
The appointment comes at a critical phase for Menzies, characterized by significant investments and accelerated growth in the U.S. and the broader region. Busalacchi brings over four decades of experience in the aviation industry, during which he has driven strategic growth, sales performance, and operational excellence. His expertise encompasses both frontline operations and leadership positions at major airlines and global aviation service providers.
Prior to joining Menzies, Busalacchi served as Vice President of Sales at Moonware, where he supported the company in expanding technology-based operational solutions and strengthening strategic partnerships in commercial aviation. Previously, he spent nearly 13 years at Swissport USA, most recently as VP of Sales & Marketing, where he led the business development team in the eastern U.S. and Canada, securing significant contracts with international and national airlines.
Strategic Ambitions in the Americas
Busalacchi’s appointment is seen as a reinforcement of Menzies‘ strategic ambitions in the Americas, where the company continues to scale and expand its service capabilities in key markets. Over the past year, Menzies has taken significant steps to enhance its presence in the U.S., including the acquisition of G2 Secure Staff, which doubled the number of airports served to 108. This has established Menzies as the largest independent provider of aviation services in the United States.
Additionally, the company secured new licenses for ground handling at Miami International Airport and at the New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Menzies was also recognized as the first international ground handler in Argentina with an operator certificate. These milestones are intended to enhance operational synergies and underscore Menzies‘ commitment to building a resilient and scalable platform to support airline partners in the Americas and worldwide.
