Mar 17, 2026 at 10:25 AMThe French shipping company CMA CGM announces the expansion of its existing PEARL service (PRX) to include a direct connection between the western Indian subcontinent and the US West Coast. This adjustment aims to enhance connectivity and coverage in trade between the western Indian subcontinent, South China, and the US West Coast.
The new route enables a direct connection from the ports in West India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to Los Angeles. The adjustments in the port rotation are as follows:
– Eastbound (EB): Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Karachi – Colombo – Singapore – Haiphong – Xiamen – Nansha – Yantian – Los Angeles
– Westbound (WB): Los Angeles – Gwangyang – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Karachi
The PEARL service will offer weekly departures on fixed days from the West Coast of the Indian subcontinent. The transit times for the eastbound direction to Los Angeles are:
– Nhava Sheva: 47 days
– Mundra: 44 days
– Karachi: 42 days
– Colombo: 37 days
The new rotation for the Indian subcontinent will take effect with the departure of the vessel „APL QINGDAO.“ The first departure under the new rotation will occur on March 30, 2026, from Nhava Sheva.
