Mar 11, 2026 at 12:37 PMDP World, a global logistics provider and operator of supply chain infrastructure with operations in 69 countries on every continent, has named Ahmad Yousef Al-Hassan as the new CEO and MD of its GCC regional operations, which will see him oversee ports, logistics and supply chain activities in several Gulf markets. The group manages an integrated portfolio in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Regional trade and logistics focus
The new CEO will strengthen end-to-end supply chains and develop logistics services designed to simplify trade flows. He says that “trade is becoming more interconnected and complex than ever and our priority is to keep cargo moving safely and efficiently for our customers.” The firm continues to monitor developments in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz while maintaining operations at its facilities in Dubai (UAE).
Jebel Ali port’s container and general cargo terminals remain fully operational, and the enterprise is coordinating closely with the UAE’s authorities, shipping lines and logistics partners to maintain cargo flows.
Al-Hassan joined DP World in 2010 and previously served as CFO for DP World GCC from 2021 to 2026. During more than 23 years in the sector he worked in Dubai, Washington DC, London and Hong Kong in the fields of logistics, treasury and banking.
