New Management at Schober Beratung
Jan 21, 2026 at 11:40 AMRichard Thompson, President of the American branches of Air Charter Service, a global provider of aircraft charters with 40 offices worldwide, reported on the transport of an injured sea turtle named Snooki. This turtle had suffered a back injury a few years ago, which limited her mobility and made a return to the wild impossible. A wildlife rescue center in North Carolina was looking for a new home for Snooki, which was eventually found in a zoo in Minnesota. There, she will live in a habitat that is nearly 50 times larger than her previous one.
For the transport, a Falcon 20F was chosen, which had an internal heating system to regulate the temperature during the flight. To ensure that Snooki was adequately hydrated during the flight, a zookeeper accompanied the turtle in the cargo hold of the aircraft. He had a spray bottle with him to maintain the necessary moisture.
On the day of the charter, a member of the New York team traveled to North Carolina to oversee the loading process. Snooki’s transport box was carefully loaded onto the aircraft with a forklift and secured with nets to allow access for the zookeeper. The entire process went smoothly, and Snooki arrived on time at Minneapolis St. Paul Airport, ready for the final short drive to her new home.
