Customs officials discovered nearly 90 clothing items bearing logos and labels from 13 luxury brands in three parcels from Romania, as reported by the customs office. These included winter jackets, jeans, hoodies, and sweaters, which turned out to be counterfeits.
Estimated value at 70,000 euros
The estimated value of the original goods amounts to around 70,000 euros. The recipient was a 50-year-old German citizen residing in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland. The counterfeit goods were confiscated under industrial property protection, provided that the affected brand owners filed applications. In this specific case, this was done by all affected companies.
