Supermaritime Nederland B.V. has appointed Milan Tevel as the new Managing Director and is expanding its storage capacity by nearly 13,000 m². Tevel took up his position on January 1, 2026, succeeding Martien Burger, who has been significantly involved in the company’s expansion over the past decades.
Expansion of Logistics Activities
The company Supermaritime, which operates in the fields of port handling, storage, and breakbulk services, plans to establish a new logistics complex in Vlissingen. This step aligns with the company’s long-term goals in the region. The new site encompasses a total of 12,787 m², including 10,956 m² of storage space, 521 m² of office space, and 1,310 m² of mezzanine space. The strategically advantageous location of the logistics center allows for excellent connections to roads, waterways, and railways.
Peter van der Laan, CEO of the Supermaritime Group, commented on the changes: “We will continue to serve our customers with the same commitment and dedication as always. Milan has been part of our company since 2012 and brings a wealth of experience along with a clear vision for the future. We have full confidence in his leadership and look forward to further collaboration under his guidance.”
Transition of Management
To ensure a smooth transition, Martien Burger will remain as an advisor at Supermaritime in the coming year, supporting both Milan Tevel and the organization during this transitional phase. Van der Laan honored Burger’s long-standing contributions: “After many years of dedicated work, Martien is now handing over his responsibilities as Managing Director to Milan. He has played a significant role in the growth and development of our organization, and we express our sincere gratitude for his long-term commitment and contributions.”
