Bosch Secure Truck Parking digitizes truck parking search
Jul 25, 2024 at 7:18 PMRecently, Cloud4Log, the digital solution for the delivery note process from GS1 Germany and the Federal Association of Logistics (BVL), released a new version. A key component is the new self-service solution for drivers. The launch took place at the dm distribution center in Waghäusel. Drivers can now enter location-specific data such as name, license plate, or tour number directly on a tablet.
(Köln/Bremen) The delivery note process with paper documents is often time-consuming, error-prone, and involves a high manual effort for all parties involved. By using a digital delivery note, Cloud4Log addresses these issues and optimizes national goods transport. The new self-service is intended to further simplify the goods receipt process for drivers and employees in goods receipt. Through a self-check-in at the respective goods receipts, drivers will in the future have the opportunity to independently register deliveries. This not only saves time and resources but also offers many advantages for the goods receipt personnel.
The new service has been available to all registered recipient locations at Cloud4Log since early July. dm-drogerie markt was significantly involved in the development. The launch took place at the dm distribution center in Waghäusel on July 10. Drivers can now enter location-specific data such as name, license plate, or tour number directly on a tablet. This allows the goods receipt employees to receive the relevant information for internal processing faster and more easily.
Individual Selection Between 14 Languages
In addition to the intuitive user interface, the individual selection between 14 languages enables seamless communication between drivers and the internal logistics department, without language barriers and time constraints. “The digital delivery note simplifies processes, overcomes language barriers, and makes it easier for drivers to use. It is a logical step towards the logistics of the future,” reports Andrea Friedel, Head of Goods Receipt/Goods Dispatch and Administration at dm-drogerie markt. The contactless processing is another significant advantage of the new release. Through the digital capture and transmission of data, as well as the simplified collection of digital signatures, the need for physical documents is eliminated. This not only contributes to increased efficiency but also to digitization and resource conservation. So far, the self-service solution has been implemented at all three dm distribution centers.
