Jul 1, 2023 at 8:02 PMWolfgang Niessner, the former and long-serving CEO of Gebrüder Weiss, was appointed as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gebrüder Weiss during the constitutive Supervisory Board meeting of the logistics company on June 19. Niessner succeeds Dr. Rudolf Christian Stiehl, who held the position for the last four years.
(Lauterach) Dr. Stiehl will leave the Supervisory Board of Gebrüder Weiss after a total of 21 years as a representative of the shareholders. With the appointment of Wolfgang Niessner as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Gebrüder Weiss is relying on an outstanding leader with a long and highly successful career in the logistics industry. Niessner served as CEO at Gebrüder Weiss since 2005 and led the company into an era characterized by consistent internationalization and economic success. At the end of 2018, he handed over the management of the operational business to Wolfram Senger-Weiss and was appointed to the Supervisory Board in 2019.
