Furthermore, the employees and management of pakadoo will also transition.
(Böblingen) The pakadoo brand will be retained, and the location in Böblingen will remain. FP’s Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Alexander Granderath, commented on the acquisition of pakadoo: “We are pleased to support FP on its digital journey and warmly welcome pakadoo to FP Digital Business Solutions.”
With a strategic partner like Francotyp-Postalia, pakadoo has the opportunity to grow faster and more stably through access to additional markets and a broader product portfolio.
At Francotyp-Postalia, pakadoo now strengthens the Digital Business Solutions division. Markus Ziegler, MD of pakadoo: “It is a great opportunity for us to expand and complement the portfolio of FP Digital Business Solutions with our digital solutions and parcel stations for last-mile logistics. This enables pakadoo to benefit from synergies, accelerate product development, and drive internationalization forward.”
Development of digital last-mile solutions
“We want people to feel comfortable where they live and work.” With this goal, pakadoo has been developing sustainable digital last-mile solutions since 2015 that give parcel recipients more free time, ease work and life, and reduce traffic and emissions. The software-as-a-service solutions for receiving and managing incoming parcels and goods in companies and public institutions are also used in retail and city logistics in conjunction with open-access parcel stations.
Through the acquisition of pakadoo, FP gains access to a SaaS-based platform for the logistics of incoming parcels in companies, public institutions, retail, and city logistics. In addition, pakadoo’s software solutions in the e-commerce sector expand FP’s TRAX SaaS solutions for internal logistics (Azolver). At the same time, FP Parcel Shipping will enhance pakadoo’s offerings for shipping parcels and goods, particularly outside Germany.
Expansion of the digital solution portfolio
FP’s CEO Carsten Lind: “Following the acquisition of Azolver in March 2022, pakadoo is another step towards expanding and complementing our digital solution portfolio in the growing parcel and e-commerce markets. We look forward to developing the business together with the pakadoo team.”
