Kühne+Nagel Takes Over Logistics for German Olympic Teams

Kühne+Nagel is the new key partner for the Olympic Team Germany and Team Germany Paralympics. The partnership includes the Winter Games in Beijing in February 2022 as well as the Summer Games in Paris in 2024. Transport of sports equipment and gear for the 400 athletes, as well as the infrastructure on site.

(Schindellegi) For Team Germany, Kühne+Nagel will take over all transport and logistics services from Germany to China and back for Beijing 2022 – including the transport of sports equipment and gear for the 400 athletes, as well as setting up the infrastructure on site. With its long-standing expertise and specialists in Germany and China, the company can respond flexibly to rapidly changing logistics requirements.

The two partners are setting a new standard for the logistics of sports and major events to minimize the CO2 emissions of the transports. Leading the project is Kühne+Nagel’s Expo and Event team, which is already focusing on environmentally friendly and sustainable supply chain solutions for such international major events.
